Creating Caring Communities: Responding to Bullying and Exclusion
with guest speaker Professor Mara Sapon-Shevin.
Presented by FIN (The Florida Inclusion Network) and FDLRS (The Florida Diagnostic & Learning Resources System)
Creating classroom communities in which children treat one another well can't just mean eliminating negative interpersonal behavior. It must mean using active teaching strategies to help students develop repertoires of inclusion, good communication and collaboration. Through songs, games, children's literature and interactive activities, we will experience ways to build community and explore how we can implement similar strategies in our own classrooms and schools.
There are two available sessions, morning and afternoon, with 75 participant spaces. Each session will cover the same material, please only register for one. This page contains the time and details for the morning session, the afternoon session registration page is located at this link: creatingcaringcommunities2.eventbright.com
