Smitty's Barbecue and Salad Bar

In Smitty's long history of serving barbecue, one of the things we've learned is that there are as many varieties of barbecue as there are people tasting it. Barbecue is southern, but it has been carried to all parts of the country and the world! We at Smitty's are proud to carry on the tradition and provide our guests some of the best barbecue in the world. Smitty's was founded by Jack "Smitty" Smith back in 1981, but it's origins go back further than that. What you now know of as Smitty's Barbecue & Salad Bar was originally opened as a Sonny's in April 1980, and operated as such until September 1981. When Sonny's corporate were offended by an off-color sign Jack posted out front and asked him to apologize, Jack refused and he went out on his own with Smitty's Barbecue & Salad Bar.
